Ingredients And Procedures
The oddest thing I found was a recipe for lobster sauce, only it had no chinese seasoning in the recipe. Its from a big restaurant in business for over 50 years and just simply excellent food. For those of you that dont know, theres actually no lobster in lobster sauce from the chinese restaurants. They tacked on the name lobster so it would sell lol, true story. heres the recipe with my one modification.

6 .oz of ground pork or beef (i personally have never seen it from a chinese place that used ground beef, but i did try it myself and it came out find, but i think pork would have more flavor)

ground garlic to taste (i used a couple cloves)

1/2 cup of water (i used about 3/4'th, 1/4'th used to mix the cornstarch with)

salt to taste (heres my modification, i used soy sauce instead, pork would be plenty salty to begin with, and the soy sauce really added a great flavor, just a tablespoon or 2 would be enough to flavor)

1 tablespoon of molasses (yep weird but it works, dont add too much or it will affect the overall flavor)

cornstarch to thicken (like a tablespoon mixed with alittle water)

1 egg (this changed the whole dish when it was added, i was skeptical about it, but it really looked like restaurant lobstersauce when i added it)

chopped green scallion for garnish ( i didnt have any at the time, i think it would add a bit to the flavor, must try it next time)

start frying up the beef or pork, add garlic when the meat is just cooked through. add water, soy/or salt, and then molasses. stir in the cornstarch to thicken the sauce. wisk the egg right into the whole thing and continue stirring till egg is setup. top with scallions if you got em and serve with rice or noodles. serves 2 to 3 people. it really does taste just like the chinese food places. I plan on making it many more times. enjoy!
